Pre-K Program

Our Pre-K Program

At MDOW, we believe that school readiness begins with curiosity, confidence, and a love of learning. Our Pre-K program is designed for children who are 4 years old by September 1 and offers a strong foundation for a successful transition to kindergarten—while staying true to our Learning Powered by Play philosophy.

Schedule:

Children attend two full days a week, either:

  • Mondays & Wednesdays or

  • Tuesdays & Thursdays

Each day is thoughtfully structured to balance purposeful play, hands-on learning, and social-emotional development.

What makes our Pre-K program special?

Play with Purpose: Children engage in play-based activities that naturally build early literacy, math, science, and critical thinking skills.

Kindergarten Readiness: Through guided activities, children practice following multi-step directions, participating in group discussions, recognizing letters and sounds, understanding basic number concepts, and developing early writing skills—all within a developmentally appropriate framework.

Social-Emotional Growth: We focus on helping children regulate emotions, work collaboratively, resolve conflicts, and build strong peer relationships—essential skills for kindergarten and beyond.

Creative Exploration: Art, music, pretend play, storytelling, and outdoor time are woven into each day, helping children express themselves and build confidence.

Independence and Responsibility: Children practice self-help skills, care for classroom materials, and take increasing ownership of their routines—preparing them for the structure and expectations of elementary school.

MDOW makes Pre-K a joyful, meaningful step toward kindergarten!
